Sunday

My impressions on Sunday, 17/03/13 [Ferdinand]:

On Sunday I went with my exchange partner and Jones to Jones' exchange partner's house. We ate breakfast (typical ham and bread) and lunch there. Then we went go-karting in Gloucester. Before we were allowed to drive though, we had to watch an introductory video. There was a person doing everything imaginable wrong. This person apparently was supposed to be Michael Schumacher but acted so badly, it wasn't recognizable. After driving, we went back to boarding. It was a great day.

My impressions on Sunday, 17/03/13 [Leo]:

My first day in England started with the cat laying on my stomach and waking me up. After a small breakfast we went to the squash courts of the school to play. It was my first time playing it. After an hour we went back home to change clothes. Then my exchange partner's dad drove us downtown. We ate something and went to some shops. In the afternoon we relaxed at home and played something on his computer. Then we had dinner. It was a very big dinner because his father cooked the christmas dinner of the family. The day ended with praying in the chapel. It was a very good day.

I got up at 9 o’clock when the two dogs, Crumble and Diba, woke me up. We drove to a little city called Cirencester, which is famous for the world' tallest yew hedge, to have Breakfast so we went to a café were you could eat sweet and savoury waffles. There we also met Tom’s little sister. After the breakfast we walked the dog in a park in Cirencester. When we were back at home me and Thomas did some shooting with an air rifle. I hit the target at least four times. Then we had lunch. Thomas had made some Pizza. After that we had a little bike tour through the landscape. Then we saw “Inception”. It was very cool. Later we had dinner. At 10 o’clock I went to bed.

My impressions of Sunday: Jamin

After a really rich breakfast, we started our trip to Bristol. It took us about half an hour to get there.  After we got there, we went into a dark cave,  which lead down a cliff. It was an amazing view from down there! Maybe the most interesting sight in Bristol is the SS great Britain. It was amazing to see that old ship. Afterwards we were hungry, so we went into a restaurant. After eating so much, we were really tired, so we went home, where Harry’s dad gave me a  shooting lesson. Shooting is a really popular sport in England. I wasn’t even too bad. After we finished this lesson, it was tea-time. We ate really delicious Scones. Harry’s mom is a really good cook! Soon after tea-time it was time for chapel, where we learned about why Jesus died.  So all in all it was a really nice day!

My impressions of Sunday: Jones

After a car ride of about twenty minutes, Max, Connor, Ferdi and me arrived at Max’s, my exchange partner’s, house in Painswick. His mother had already prepared a real nice breakfast with ham and fried eggs. when we finished, Max started to show us around his house, that is really huge and beautifully furnished.
After having a really delicious and rich lunch, which was followed by a selection of two different puddings, everything prepared by Mr. and Mrs. Winfrey, we decided to go Go-Karting. It was so much fun, because the only people driving there were we. Although I had a serious crash with the wall, I have had experienced an eventful and nice day with Max’s family, when arriving back at Cheltenham College.
