Thursday

Thursday, 21 March 2013 [Ferdinand/Leo]

As usual, our day started with breakfast. We then met for chapel, which wasn’t actually chapel today, but a mention of all the people who did extraordinary things for the collage in the last 3 months. Every one of them got a special tie as a prize, which was really strange. After chapel we met at the court to go together to the car park. We entered our bus and went for a trip to Stratford upon Avon, the city where William Shakespeare was born and died in. It was very cold and windy there, so we all looked forward to go into a warm building. We had a tour through the town, where we got all sorts of information about Shakespeare and his friends and family. After that tour, which took about 2 hours, we went to the birthplace of Shakespeare, a very old house inside of lots of new buildings. As his father made gloves, there was a room all about gloves in that house, in which Ronan lost his gloves. We got told that we don’t have as much time as we were supposed to have, so we split into groups of three again and went to discover and explore the city by our own, for the last 30 minutes. We found a chocolate shop called like “Ye olde sweet shoppe”, where you could buy a huge glass of jelly beans for about £100. Jones found a Wonka chocolate and had to buy it. When we left that shop, we already had to go back to our meeting point again to go back to Cheltenham. Directly after that, we went to the computer room of the College, where we are writing this. We don’t have anything special planned for this last evening of our trip, we are just going to pack our stuff for the trip back tomorrow and have a nice evening with our exchange partners, who we won’t see now for half a year.
